Cookie Department, also known as Cookie DPT is one of the hottest brands in Hong Kong to be born from Instagram.

From the creators of the multi-brand lifestyle concept store Department (DPT) and minimalist cafe Coffee DPT, Cookie DPT was founded in Taipei, Taiwan by Founder Wil Fang, The brand has established a new home in Hong Kong during 2018.

Studio L.M’s Founder Lex Mak was an early shareholder of Cookie DPT Hong Kong and helped to build the Branding ID, Packaging Design and designing numerous of the brands Pop-up stores.

GWEI LO - Brew Bar’s remains Hong Kong's only on-site working brewery and houses the research and development brewing facility of one of Hong Kong’s largest craft beer brands, allowing beer lovers to try out newly developed brews before they’re released, as well as an area to host beer workshops and tastings to learn more about brewing beer.

The GRAIN building (New Fortune House) in Kennedy Town used to store grain, flour and sugar and became the inspiration for the design response to this project.

First opened in The Peninsula Hotel Arcade, Hong Kong over 50 years ago, LUCULLUS is one of Hong Kong’s most loved and oldest chocolatiers, Since 1976.

Studio L.M was involved in the re-branding and re-positioning of the LUCULLUS brand to appeal to a more youthful customer base as the brand continues to delight the chocolate lovers of the city.

This is the second location of Roastery Lab; the new concept created for The Coffee Academics (TCA) - Purveyor and Roasters since 2012 in 2017.

The Roastery Lab was a micro coffee roastery and education facility with a brew bar located in the heart of Central Hong Kong and epicentre of coffee production for the 10+ outlets of TCA.

The IFC Mall outlet focused on a bespoke custom blending coffee retail concept - allowing customers to blend their own coffee beans for home consumption.

MIDST - Hydra hand sanitiser is a premium hand sanitiser, hand made in Hong Kong in collaboration with a local perfumist.

In early 2020, COVID-19 had put the brakes on the world. We had a vision to start up a small social project called MIDST to better serve the community through providing an elevated compact hand sanitation solution for everyone.

MIDST made its way to the cities independent cafes, casual dining restaurants, multi brand stores Kapok, Goods Of Desire (G.O.D) and luxury hotels including Sheraton. It was our way to give back and look after our F&B friends in Hong Kong.

MIDST was Founded by Studio L.M’s Director Lex Mak.

Our design response reflects Smith Street, an area predominantly known for its moody and raw qualities triggered the use of steel, concrete breeze blocks, natural stone, stained timber and a darker colour palette.

A mixture of high, low & booth seating aims to create a relaxed casual atmosphere. The seating is carefully broken up into two main zones, the front; consisting of loose furniture for a flexible seating arrangement & the rear; incorporates booth seating for more private dining areas.

Located on the Kennedy Town waterfront, GRAIN in partnership with one of Hong Kong’s top craft brewers Gweilo is one of the cities largest F&B venues with over 200 seats. GRAIN is an interactive and innovative playground for guests who love to eat, drink, and discover.

The distinctive exterior helps create a casual ambience in which everyone can unwind and relax. The main dining room focuses on the action of the restaurant's open kitchen, where the culinary team adds some theatre to the casual and spacious setting offering gastropub-style food with beers and drinks.
