PITAKA
PITAKA is a Hong Kong-based lifestyle tech brand, founded in 2014, known for creating durable, ultra-slim, and lightweight accessories for mobile devices using advanced materials like aramid fiber and Fusion Weaving technology.
Inspired by the Sanskrit word for "basket" (signifying sustainability and function), the brand focuses on MagSafe-compatible cases, chargers, and wallets that blend minimalism with high-tech materials.
At Mr Gumbatron we have been long time fans of Pitaka products for years and have observed them from a distance, noticing these stylish phone cases displayed at several high-end boutique retail outposts around Hong Kong and China.
What drew us to their products was the use of carbon aramid fibre and the slim and sleek profiles of their designs. We are big fans of the carbon fibre material for both its structural rigidity and stealth aesthetic. What we look for ultimately in a phone case is one that is thin as possible; slim and lightweight to preserve the sleekness of my phone yet it must offer adequate scratch and drop protection given the minimal footprint. Pitaka phone cases tick these boxes for us.
